Yoga, Ayurvedic massage and sound healing on Portugal's Ericeira coast
Ajna Flow takes its shape from one person's path. Anne-Lyse grew up in Brittany, France, and her yoga began in India. She now lives and teaches in Ericeira, a coastal village about 35 km northwest of Lisbon, where Atlantic cliffs meet the beaches and the town is recognised as Europe's first World Surfing Reserve.
Her training runs through Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and yoga therapy, and into Ayurvedic nutrition, Abhyanga massage and Marma point therapy. She studied with the Spanda Institute, the Swasti Yoga Center in Pune and the Fundación de Salud Ayurveda Prema. Her stated approach is to do less and feel more: return to the breath, listen to what the body says and let the heart lead.
The weekly anchor is Rooftop Morning Yoga, a 60-minute class from Monday to Thursday on a rooftop overlooking the sea, at Wot Hostel (sul). It is open to all levels and costs 10 euros to drop in. Private sessions, at home or outdoors, mix Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin and pranayama with meditation and sound healing when the moment calls for it.
Off the mat, there are Ayurvedic massages tuned to the individual dosha, Tibetan bowl meditations in which each bowl answers one of the seven chakras, and consultations on food, digestion and daily habits. Women Together is a women-led space of group sessions and one-to-one support for women working through trauma and hard experiences. The studio can also be rented.
Retreats carry the practice further afield. With Lauranne, a integrative health coach and breathwork practitioner, Anne-Lyse leads Retraite Reconnexion in the Moroccan Sahara from 22 to 29 November 2026. It runs from Marrakech and includes five nights in the desert, daily hikes, yoga, breathwork, sound baths under the stars and time with nomads. The price is 1400 euros, excluding flights, insurance and tips.
